Although I can't offer much of a reply as what the neighborhood is like now, I was wondering if you (or anyone else reading this!) would know the name of the church at the NW corner of Wells & 55th just beside the Dan Ryan. It appears closed, but seems to still have beautiful stained glass windows and the curious thing about it is that there is a horse carved on stone on its roof. The church is very visible from the Dan Ryan. Would like to hear your thoughts and feelings about your old neighborhood...
