Chicago History Forum: The Last Chicago Memorial Day Parade

Although, It will be revived this year on State St. As late as 1964 (in photo) Memorial Day Parades occured on State St. For some reason, I believed it ended a little later than that. If anybody knows the exact year State St stopped having the Memorial Day Parades, Could someone come forward?, Way before they were revived this year?
