Chicago History Forum: H.W. Parker and Sons

I work for a living history museum in the western suburbs and we have an artifact that has this business' name on it. No one seems to know for sure what the item is (I think it may be some kind of clock) and I have been searching high and low to try to figure it out. I don't have a date of production, just the company's name, their location (Chicago) and what I assume is a model number (8202). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
