Chicago History Forum: Bindrim - Butcher murders of 1916

In 1916 my 4th great grandpa and his son (William Bindrim and George Bindrim) were murdered on 3-12-1916 in their *butcher shop.

George lived at 4021 Fillmore street and left behind a wife, Clara and 6 daughters, Catherine (Serrenella), twins Hazel (Fitzgerald) & Viola (McIntyre - his name was John and he died around 1958 whereabouts of Viola is unknown),Irene (Karmazin)Lillian (Anderson They lived in McHenry and Mr. Anderson is buried in Cary, Illinois. - Then marries a Roberts in 1971 and moved to California..) and Margaret (Cunningham) Any information on the whereabouts of these people or their children is greatly appreciated.

*Butcher Shop: I have an article from an unknown newspaper I believe is from the The Chicago Daily News which states that William Bindrim was given the first certificate dated #001 for his business license...How and where would I go about trying to find the copy of that?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Cathie
