Hello,
I am doing research for an article about Leroy Bates of Quincy Illinois. He was a small scale musical instrument manufacturer and musician, and may have played the Chicago area. He made drums, saxophones and perhaps other instruments and was in business in Quincy on Broadway St. until 1949.
Any info regarding Mr. Bates or his work would be greatly appreciated.
